My favorite part of convention thus far has been meeting sisters from so many generations. With a far more sophisticated wardrobe (I would kill to have some of these women's fabulous white suits one day) and a few more wrinkles here or there, women, who have devoted their lives to ADPi for 20, 30 years and more, still have the same enthusiasm and passion for ADPi as any collegian, and probably more. Tonight, we watched women pass through a ceremony to celebrate 10 years and 25 years of Alpha Delta Pi membership, and even watched International President Claire Brown Gwaltney throw off her heels to show us her dancing skills. The impacts these women have made on ADPi and their success in empowering women in this world have been inspiration for all of us. This weekend, I am truly seeing the meaning of a 'life long commitment' to Alpha Delta Pi.
I'm so glad you are having a GREAT time and blogging about it!! Too cool. Can't wait to talk to you when you get home. Soak it all up!!!
